A warm welcome goes out to Vanessa’s Photography, the newest member of our photography blog community. Based in Ellicott City, Maryland, Vanessa’s Photography is a full-service photography studio, specializing in weddings and fine portraiture. In addition to her commercial site, Vanessa maintains a photography blog which is frequently updated with comments and images from recent photographic assignments. In reviewing her portfolio, I love the interaction she has with her photography subjects. While she does offer formal portrait settings, it is the environmental portraiture that makes her work truly stand out. Her images depict clients in a natural and “at ease” manner, which always make for interesting photos. The same can be said for her wedding photography. Her photojournalistic style captures that “special day” in a way which produces brilliant unguarded moments.
Vanessa’s bio:
Vanessa was born in the Berkeley area of California, USA. She graduated from Excelsior College in NY with a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies in 2001. Although she has been accepting photography commissions since 2001, Vanessa officially launched her photography career in January of 2006. Vanessa earned the Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) designation from the Professional Photographic Certification Commission. With the love and support of her husband and step-daughter, she has opened a full-time studio on Main Street in Ellicott City. UPDATE: The studio is moving to Elkridge by the end of October 2008.
Take a few moments to review her spectacular photography! (…and thanks, Vanessa, submitting your photography blog!)
