WhiteStains Photo blog

gatufoto majorna 31 mars 2009 08 re 300x300 WhiteStains Photo blog picturesIncredible photography can be found at WhiteStains…a photoblog created by Gothenburg, Sweden based photographer Joachim Brink. If you love black and white photography, this site has plenty of it. I found the overall style to focus on the details of everyday life – closeups, solitary landscapes, abandoned factories, etc.

WhiteStains photography can also be found on deviantArt.

Here’s a brief bio on Joachim Brink….

” Freelance photographer, journalist and writer. Frequent reviewer of books and films. Has designed several books and other publications. Runs the registered company White Stains Text och Bild (White Stains Text and Images). Assistant Editor at the Göteborg International Film Festival. Singer and lyricist in the dark gothic band Boleskine. Born in 1978, based in Gothenburg, Sweden.”

The daily, year-long photoblog of Jim Bridges

One photo a day for a year.

While this is neither a new or original idea, this is my attempt to produce 365 photos worthy of showing the rest of the world. From April 1, 2008, I am posting a new picture every day. (Even weekends and holidays. Art knows no bounds.)

Some of the pictures will be from my archive of images (some even going back to scans from negatives), but I am going to try to produce new pictures as much over the next year as possible. The goal is to create new things, not just turn this into a self-selected “best of”. I guarantee some images will be better than others.

about me

I’m a transplanted Canadian now living in Sweden who has been doing photography in one way or another for more years than I care to think about. While past work has included photographic assignments — I’ve been lucky to be paid to photograph deserts on three continents — photography is definitely a passion and hobby rather than a living.

When not behind the camera, I do web and graphic design and creative direction.

I live in Hunnebostrand, a small fishing village on the west coast of Sweden with my wife Eva and daughter Ella, both of whom you’ll see if you look around the pictures.
