The Streets of Italy

“The blog I am writing for is mine, hope this is not a big issue for you icon smile The Streets of Italy pictures . You can easily find it at http://aphotomaniac.com (hosted on tumblr). So lets star…My name is Andrea Gracis, I am from Italy and photography is one of my favorite hobbies. I usually  use a Canon EOS 450D and I prefer not to use photoshop or similar apps to edit my images – also because sometimes I do not have the time.

I started my “photoblog” project in December 2009  but my hobby started few years before. At the moment there are about 200 images: i want it to be a repository of only my “best” -I mean for me icon smile The Streets of Italy pictures - images. It can be defined as a simple photos collection. I usually take urban/street photos, landscapes, abstract and black and white but these days I thought to start shooting at people (starting from friends). For sure what I like the most is the B&W urban photography. Moreover, parallel to photography,  six months ago I started to build screensavers with my images: at the moment I have completed two.”

A Life In the City – NYC Photography Blog

“Hello!  My name is Charley Quinlivan and I live in New York City.  I have just started a photo blog as a way for me to post what I like about New York.

I have been shooting for about two years now but the blog is only about a month old.  I usually shoot every day but I try and hold my posts to the best of the shots.  I am drawn to shoot people mainly…not so much in the classic “street photography” tradition although I am inspired by that genre.  I often look for the person alone in this busy place.

Sometimes I ask for a picture and I am always surprised by how many people agree to have their picture taken by a stranger on the street.  Sometimes I just shoot, it depends on my mood and the situation.  I enjoy looking through the ilovephotoblogs site, I have found a lot of inspiration from looking at what others are doing.

Thanks!”

Fashion blogger and photographer Scott Schumann, aka The Sartorialist

Fashion blogger and photographer Scott Schumann, aka The Sartorialist, is no stranger to a camera. As part of Intel’s “Visual Life” video series and 2nd generation core processor promotion, roles are flipped and the camera is on Scott.

Scott shares how technology plays a pivotal role in bringing his passion for photography and fashion to life. The documentary follows The Sartorialist as he searches for his next subjects for his blog, which examines fashion seen on the streets of major cities. The seven-minute long video talks about inspiration in the midst of chaos and the impact photos can have throughout time.

The Beauty In Ordinary Things

“A great photograph makes your jaw drop. A great photographer makes everything look beautiful however ordinary.

I’m a street photographer first. I love the randomness. No scripts. No sexy poses. No retakes. No models. I shoot REAL people. Using only available light while I document what’s going on around my photojournalism style. Shooting commercially comes second.”

The Streets of New York City

“This NYC-based photo blog will concentrate on photographic technique illustrated by various shots I’ve taken throughout the years. My philosophy is that great photography skills should not be some sort of trade secret that photographers keep to themselves. My role is to help you take better shots. Mind you, I am no professional, but I have spent a good amount of time on this as a hobby.” …Andrew Halpren
