The Universe is a Haunted House

street phototgraphy The Universe is a Haunted House pictures

“I collect here some of my new and old photos from daily walks, travels, wanderings and photo shoots. And I will try hard to keep this site updated daily. But I must add that sometimes I like to get away from computers for a period of time,  so there might be some longer caps.

I have been more seriously into (digital) photography since ’05 (if I remember correctly) and it has been my hobby, my passion and sometimes even my work since.”

Personal Exhibitions:
2008 – “On the Streets I”. A street photography exhibition in the Cafe of Tartu University.
2009 – “On the Streets II”. A street photography exhibition in the City Library of Tartu.

Lazy Sunday Morning Photo Blogs

multitask Lazy Sunday Morning Photo Blogs picturesJust relaxing this Sunday morning, sipping coffee, and reviewing a few cool photo blogs I’d bookmarked earlier in the week…

Cemetery Photography by Jeane Trend-Hill…”the number one cemetery photography site on the web.”

MONTMARTRE - “… is my photography playground. I live in Sydney, Australia and am generally never without camera in hand. Montmartre is a small town on a hill in Paris. It is a corner of creative artistry and for me signifies what I want this site to be. Freedom, expression, hope, love, stories told through pictures. Pictures are nice to look at, stories come from the soul.”..Interesting collection of food photography and general still life photos…Nice use of available light!

Effluere by LTallman – “…a 28-year-old self-taught photographer living in New York City. I use a variety of cameras, lenses and digital manipulation to best capture a place and time in image form. These collections of photographs represent my favorite subjects to photograph.” Beautiful collection of photography; fauna, landscapes, city life, new york city, and portraits!

“I began to photograph just for fun year ago probably because it was the only way to create something artistic, as I have always been fascinated by painting. But as I am not good in drawing, now I am living for this wonderful passion, which day by day gives me satisfactions and self confidence on my creative abilities. Even if I do not always have a fixed style in my mind, I like to begin every new photo with an open mind, trying every time different expressions, from portraits to landscape, mixing everything trying not to be boring.

I am fascinated by lights and shadows and I like playing with them. Every time I try to find a meaning to the shot, incorporationg my vision and ideas.

For me, photography entails a voyage of discovery. When I look through the viewfinder, I can put the world in a framework and make it according to my feelings. That’s the world I photograph.”

Phototherapy – Photo of the day

2008 5483 ivl 300x200 Phototherapy Photo of the day pictures“This journal is a photographic diary. Day after day, I must post one photograph. In that sense, this journal is my Phototherapy. I build photographic stories, made of slices of time, organizing my images into series, cataloging my subjects, following recursive themes. On the long run, but daily. I would like to share these stories with all of You …

My name is Charles-Antoine Chevalley, and I live in Switzerland. Long time ago, I got a photography degree at the Vevey fine art school, but my everyday job has nothing to do with photography.

I really appreciate your comments, which help me to grow.”
