“I’m a young, 21 year old, aspiring photographer from the Seattle area.
Here is a rock climbing image I just finished up for my portfolio. My aim was to create a completely new perspective for rock climbing photography. This was a personal project that was shot over a course of 5 days. The video takes the viewer through the stages of the shoot and the post processing.”
I polished my skills there for over 10 years. And then, one day, it dawned on me, I missed the fun I had as a teenager photographing people and capturing expressions and moments. So, I set my sights on portraiture. My husband and I moved our family to Spokane from our long-time home in Arizona. The change has allowed me to grow in different aspects of my work and explore new ideas and creativity. And, Viola! Here I am! I am doing what I love and having the time of my life! I hope to be able to build on my client base here in Spokane and grow with this spectacular industry!”

“Not to be cliché when I say this (of course, even by saying this I am being cliché) but when it comes to photography it is so much more to me than taking photos. I knew it at the very moment I dropped out of the Art Institute of Seattle to pursue an entrepreneurial career as a photographer. Having started shooting professionally in March of 2010, I am still comparatively new to the industry but I’ve quickly learned that experience — not time — is the best teacher.
But “experience” involves much more than getting to know my tools. Though it may be essential to have a natural eye and an adept understanding of light and camera, I believe one must also have a passion for people. Treating a client as a friend, not a business. And that is what I do best.
My goal isn’t to gain fame or public recognition. Lasting joy is found in investing all of my time and energy into an idea or vision to get the job done.
Ideas require venture in order to be brought into existence, and a camera is merely the first step in bringing an idea to life.”
