Envisioning Family: A Photographer’s Guide to Making Meaningful Portraits
Family. A small word with powerful meaning. Most of us trace the roots of our own personal identity back, in large part, to our experience as part of a family. The actual definition of what a family is can vary widely. Yet, interestingly, most family photography is anything but varied. We are used to the basic posing of a group brought together and smiling like they never do in real life. We all know that staid family image. It doesn’t offer much impact, and most professional photographers aren’t terribly interested in shooting it.
Playful Amazing Portrait Photography – Lindsay Gee

Quirky, talented, and infectiously fun! It’s amazing to see how quickly Lindsay Gee has developed as a photographer and how pleased her family, friends and clients are with the work (play) that she’s been doing.
Driven by passion and creative way of looking at everyday life, her work is playful and distinct and incredibly shareable. But, enough of what I think, here is her introduction.
Welcome to my mash-up
….of motherhood musings, daily inspirations and mainly PHOTOGRAPHS. I am new to the world of blogging, but after hanging up my professional actor/singer/dancer hats and hitching up with a man, giving birth to our baby girl and cozying down with a mortgage and car payments, my life is screaming for some creative spice! I want to commit to this online journal as a way of documenting my life as a new mother and to give sneak peeks at some of my latest photo sessions.

Portland Based Photographer Josh Mitchell
“My name is Josh Mitchell. I grew up in San Diego and have roamed around a bit in my adult life- Chicago, Raleigh, Seattle, Chicago (again), and most recently Portland OR. At heart I prefer the west coast. My wife Melissa and I run a photography business specializing in weddings and portraiture, but for me photography doesn’t stop there. It’s been a huge part of my life for the past 7 years. The Daily Mnemonic is a blog about memories. Mnemonics are things we invent to help us remember things, and for me it happens to be a blog. No photo posted here was taken the same day, they are all from days, weeks, months, or years past. When possible I’ve included exif data for those interested.”

Story Teller Through Photographs
“There are so many things that I love and am thankful for in my life - my husband, rainy days, hot showers, traveling to Costa Rica, flip-flops, vintage stores, hot coffee and amazing friends. I am a wife to a caring and patient husband, a mom to two spoiled pooches, an event planner/professional fundraiser and an avid story-teller through photographs. Working with my husband has given me an outlet to create, connect and to dream.
There is a quote I came across and I feel that it so accurately depicts the stage I’m at in my life and the personal meaning I have for my work:”
‘The urge to create, the urge to photograph comes in part from the deep desire to live with more integrity, to live more in peace with the world and to possibly help others do the same.’ – Wynn Bullock

French Artist Photographer From Lyon France
Official website of the french artist photographer from Lyon France
“Cédric Darbord is an artist practicing many audio and visual activities but his main specialty is photography. That’s cool because that’s his job!
Agreements require generally to be specialized in a category. Cédric Darbord hates doing the same thing every day. So he works in advertisement, press, and art exhibitions. But in every case, there’s always a common point. That’s the artistic photography way.”
