I am new to the world of blogging, but after hanging up my professional actor/singer/dancer hats and hitching up with a man, giving birth to our baby girl and cozying down with a mortgage and car payments, my life is screaming for some creative spice! I want to commit to this online journal as a way of documenting my life as a new mother and to give sneak peeks at some of my latest photo sessions.

I grew up in San Diego and have roamed around a bit in my adult life- Chicago, Raleigh, Seattle, Chicago (again), and most recently Portland OR.  At heart I prefer the west coast. My wife Melissa and I run a photography business specializing in weddings and portraiture, but for me photography doesn’t stop there. “There are so many things that I love and am thankful for in my life  -  my husband, rainy days, hot showers, traveling to Costa Rica, flip-flops, vintage stores, hot coffee and amazing friends. I am a wife to a caring and patient husband, a mom to two spoiled pooches, an event planner/professional fundraiser and an avid story-teller through photographs. Working with my husband has given me an outlet to create, connect and to dream.

There is a quote I came across and I feel that it so accurately depicts the stage I’m at in my life and the personal meaning I have for my work:”
