4 Fun Photo Blogs to Spice Up Your Morning
4 Fun Photo Blogs to Spice Up Your Morning. Check out these wonderful photography blogs for unique content and great images.

Dating back to October 2002, the blog started up as an accompaniment to the long-established urban75 website, and ran on a basic Google Blogger account.
The early blogs – mainly posted from my old Palm Treo phone – are quite basic, image-free affairs (and rather dull, truth be told), but as you move through time, photos appear (huzzah!), and the pages get more graphic content in line with connection times getting faster.”

Street Photography Blog | Pittsburgh | 1259pm.com

About 1259pm.com12:59 p.m. The final minute of the lunch hour. Most nine-to-fivers are heading obediently back to the workplace, after having spent their lunch hour… well, eating lunch. I’m also heading back to the office, but have probably just gotten Wendy’s chili to go after spending my lunch hour doing other things.
This photo blog is an outlet for me to share photographs I’ve taken prowling the streets of downtown Pittsburgh during my lunch hour. You’ll see a lot of ill-conceived street photography, but also architecture, cityscapes, urban decay, abstractions, and whatever else strikes me. Of course, I take pictures at other times and in other places, so look for those here too. But as long as I have other things competing for my time, the convenience of lunchtime photography will remain a reality, and the resultant shots a recurring theme here.
I’ll make updates every few days or so; naturally they’ll appear at 12:59 p.m.

Freeze Frame Reality | Pittsburgh Photography Blog | Arvin Clay

I am a fine arts photographer working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The landscape of the city provides wonderful fodder for the medium of urban exploration.
Previously, I worked in the film industry as a materials consultant to special effects makeup studios. The work I did in the field of materials research (specifically translucent silicone rubbers) helped to push the industry into the 21st century. I maintained an informational website called replicants.org from 2000-2003 that saw thousands of visitors annually.
I left the industry in 2004 and moved back to Pittsburgh to pursue another passion of mine- photography. I caught the bug during the time I spent working in London taking countless pictures of textures. (Nothing as specific as say a building, but rather a small area of rust or chipped paint.) I found Pittsburgh to have the same sort of feel. Many of the old building that have been left years ago can tell us stories of not only the past, but also of the current state of affairs. I treat each picture I take of these buildings as a portrait. As a result I feel that much of the character shines through. My photographs are characterized by their use of available light and very straight forward presentation of the subject matter.
Most recently I have taken my craft into a newer realm by incorporating a fashion element to it. Mixing the rough textures of the buildings with modern fashion design I have found a new calling, and through this recent work my perception has expanded 10 fold.

Tuesday Photo Blog Call
A special thanks goes out to the many people that follow this blog via Twitter..I really enjoy the messages and emails from photographer wanting to be listed on our site…keep ‘em coming! I am working on a couple of new tools for this photo blog which I hope allow us to grow our wonderful community…but more to come on that…Here are several interesting photoblogs which entered our message box overnight.
Brian Kaldorf – “…a pittsburgh based photographer specializing in editorial and commercial portraiture and still life. His images rely on a strong foundation of color and technology to achieve a hyper realistic look in his photographs. Whether it’s a band’s cover photo, a fashion spread, or an illustrative concept, Brian Kaldorf’s photographic abilities can take your project to the next level.”
PixelShots -“…the cutest photoblog with photos of nature, insects, flowers, waterfalls, fishes, tourist destinations, palaces, archeological monuments, crocodile parks, macro and closeup photos, amateur galleries, mobile phone photography, and still adding…”
C.H. Paquette Photography – “…a collection of photography news and exhibit listings, random essays on visual culture, as well as a showcase of established and emerging photographers”
Laurent Batailley - “…blog is running since January 2006, and the present version is the third one.As a “culturally” graphic oriented guy (started graphic compo on Amstrad CPC!) my main interest is more the final picture than photo in general. So, this blog is the place where I’m posting my current explorations and experimentations in image production.
Even if my photos remain my favorite raw material (as it’s really easier and faster than drawing) this blog is clearly “Photoshop” post processing oriented. The previous version of this blog was already offering before and after. Now what’s up? Here’s a comprehensive description: Regular posts of original photography, visually enhanced and retouched using Adobe Photoshop. Most of time Photos, Images, Pictures, are posted with a before (raw picture) and after (Photoshopped) view.
Also you can enjoy up to 4 steps post-processing views and a FREE downloadable PSD file (Adobe Photoshop CS4) to learn/study/understand all photoshop technics used for photo post-production, restauration and enhancement.”
On a slightly different note, a special thank you goes out to Linda in Seattle,WA for sending in a birthday gift…Annie Leibovitz at Work…love it!
