Thank you Twitter

3100654324 36a4b3ebe1 Thank you Twitter picturesOk…Yes, many of us have used Twitter for quite some time…(early adopters, they call us)..and now that Twitter has final become mainstream, everyone and his brother…(you get the idea)..Regardless of all that, the Twitter follows, comments, and associated traffic events have soared….(which is why I’m talking about it)…The cool thing about Twitter is it’s one of the few social media tools which allows you to promote yourself. How come it took so long for developers to figure out that business people want/need to generate sales leads and/or self-promote (it’s called BUSINESS)…forget Digg, Mixx, Propeller, Stumble Upon and the rest of ‘em…I’ve been banned from them all at one time or another..LET THE PHOTO BLOG SELF-PROMOTION BEGIN…No need to be shy. If you want to be published on this site…here you go…it’s really that simple.

With that said, here are several photographers which took me up on my offer earlier today…..The Examinerphotography blog for Seattle-ites; Sue Bruce Photography..working very hard here in New England; David Vaaknin.…a freelance photojournalist based in Israel (around Jerusalem); Captured Echoes, my personal photoblog where I will put some of my best pictures; Digital Photos Online, I discuss working with digital photos online, editing, editing programs, photo tips, etc.; and Irish photographer Peter Neill, who specializes in events, portraits, and landscapes.

Baby it’s cold outside

Today, in the midst of a late winter storm , here I sit, viewing photography blogs as opposed to busting out some cold weather photos of my own. But that’s ok…a bit too cold for my tastes anyway..plus it gives me a great opportunity to check out some interesting sites such as 18mm..nice mix of black and white and color still lifes…and Wasabi Noise..views of Japan by Barcelona based software developer.[ Any measurable snow event reminds me of one of my favs...Dog Walk by Dave Beckerman.]

I also had the opportunity to change my WordPress theme…again…going with a more minimalistic approach by Scott Wallick…actually love the straightforward layout.

On an slightly different topic…photo blog contests…we just got a committment from two sponsors.. so stay tuned for annoucements about upcoming giveaway opportunities!
