Liguria Italy Photoblog – Images No Words

Hi, I’m an italian guy who loves everything about photography. I’m 29 years old and I live in a little heaven called “Poets’ gulf” in the east part of Liguria (italy) I started shooting some years ago, with an old reflex film camera, then I bought my first digital camera. It was a minolta dimage s414 and now I shoot with my new
nikon d50 .

The passion for this art has also grown thanks to my friend photographer Duz. He teach me lots of things and together we spent good times taking photos and shooting everything. From some times I enjoy to visit various photoblogs on the net, and so I decided to create this one.

This is my first photoblog, I write it by myself in php and when I was near to finished it I discovered PixelPost existence (DOH!!!) … I hope you enjoy it.. my dream/purpose is to improve my technique or it’s better to say to learn take some good photos.

Luan Huynh – Australian Landscape Photographer

R00101851 Luan Huynh Australian Landscape Photographer pictures

This site is a simple weblog of my photographic hobby. With every image I am going to try and include some writing, mainly as a bit of extra practice for my real job (writing research papers). Please explore the website and don’t be afraid to critique my photos – the only reason I have them here is to receive constructive feedback.

My subject is mainly Australian landscapes, but I try to take photos of anything I find interesting. I do a lot of travel photography but would love to take more street photography as well as portraiture. I am trying to become a strobist. My photos may also be found on Flickr, VFXY, and Vazaar. I’m trying to get on JPG Magazine and Onexposure/1X – it is damned hard.

Currently I shoot with a Nikon D90 and various lenses, but I’m fast getting tired of DSLRs. I think they are too bulky and cumbersome. Since I am by no means a professional, I have no need for humongous, grain free photos. As such I’ve recently upgraded to a Ricoh GR Digital III and will try to use it more. Ultimately, I’d really like to end up with a Leica…luan huynh

Great Photoblogs to Jump Start Your Week

3291281944 381a7e516a b 300x199 Great Photoblogs to Jump Start Your Week picturesNothing like some great photoblogs to get the week started..The Hotel Moscow <featured>, Olivier Jules, and [survi:R]…In addition to my normal surfing habits in looking for new photography blog talent, Twitter followers and messages have surged in recent weeks. Not much of a Twitterhead, it does serve the purpose of getting the word out quickly about whatever it is you want to get out…In any case, enjoy today’s photoblogs, and keep the Twitter messages and “suggest a site” leads coming…

Stephen Gibson Photography | Discovering Australia

cannonvale coral ny dsc2097 Stephen Gibson Photography | Discovering Australia picturesThe travel photoblog by Stephen Gibson, takes us on a photographic journey discovering Australia. There are many beautiful images in this collection, ranging from aquatic life macro photography to cityscapes and street photography.

I had the opportunity to travel to Australia several years back while on assignment, mainly in Woomera and Adelaide…and it must say, this is one destination that should be on everyone’s list for photography destinations or just to vacation..a lot of wide open spaces..Australia is about 80% the size of the United States, with less than 10% of its population!…2.6 people per square mile vs. 80 people per sq mi. in the US.

This blog is a long term project for Gibson, who states…“photoblog of my continuing travels around Australia, a few of the interesting things I’ve seen on my journey so far..”

Judith Polakoff Photography

december farmandsky3 300x199 Judith Polakoff Photography picturesBeautiful images from New York photographer Judith Polakoff. …just love these images…Judith has a great command of light and composition and you’ll truly enjoy strolling through her archives.

“I live in central upstate New York, U.S., with my husband, Mike, and our cat, Smokey.  My husband gave me my first digital camera (a Sony Mavica) as a gift for my birthday in December 2003; then for my birthday a year later he gave me the Nikon D70.  In March 2006 I sold the D70 and purchased the Nikon D2X.

Many years ago, while a student at university, I took several photography classes and bought my first film camera, a Pentax K1000, and learned to develop black and white photos in the darkroom.

Unfortunately, in the intervening years it just wasn’t possible for me to pursue photography.  But my husband’s gift has reignited the old flame — hence, this website.”

“Thank you for visiting my photoblog, “These Fleeting Moments”. I started this on January 17th, 2006, simply to document the world as I experience it… or how I’d prefer it to be experienced. It is appropriately named after a song I wrote while in college, circa 1992.

Nearly all images are captured in RAW format, using a Nikon D50 or Nikon D200 with the following lenses:

- Nikkor 85mm f/1.8D
- Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D AF Micro
- Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
- Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED Wide Angle
- Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.0-5.6D ED Zoom Telephoto

Post-processing is often done with a combination of the following: Photoshop CS2 and Photomatix.”
