“B&W Photography (mostly) served fresh daily. It’s not a 365 project, it’s just simply my view on the world through a prime lens.

My pblog consist of portraits, street, landscapes and everything else in between. I don’t have a particular “genre” other than I like photos mostly in B&W. I love taking photos and the adventure and places that go with it. I also enjoy the technical aspect of photography as well as the artistry behind the scenes.

I started out in photography using my dads AE-1. Got away from photography for it when joined the military in 2001. I then bought my first Canon in 2004, a PowerShot S50 and I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. I still own that camera and still take pictures with it. I have since bought and sold several DSLRs and now currently use a Canon 60D + 50mm 1.4.

I started my blog as means for an outlet. I have thousands of photos in my computer HDD and had no way of sharing them with anyone. So one day I just decided to start a website, little did I know that amount of work it would take to go through my photos AND start a website.

So after going through several platforms (WordPress, PixelPost, WordPress again, then finally a custom coded flash website). I just recently launched a new template in a completely different style and platform which deleted all the comments from my last website. However the design is much more user friendly and flexible for future expansions.

I’m just trying to get more exposure for my work and I don’t charge for my photos, I’m just simply passionate about photography.”…Nikho Rosales

“I’m a Landscape Photographer working mostly in Loudoun County, Virginia. I blend a passion for exploration and hiking with photography. My secondary goal is to preserve the natural beauty offered by our incredible county. I do this by searching out farms, pastures, trails and fields to share my discoveries.”

Focus on Photography – Don Schwartz

“Don began his interest in photography as a teenager influenced initially by the work of Ansel Adams. This continued into his military service in the Navy where an interest in travel photography developed.

Don’s primary interest therefore has been in landscape photography, both in color and black & white. His work includes 35mm color transparency, medium format color transparency, panoramic color in both 35mm and medium format plus digital 35mm. A current theme is to also photograph the landscape using medium format black & white Infrared film.

In the past few years his interest has evolved to include an interest in photographing “Empty Spaces” in abandoned and/or used buildings. “

We featured this photo blog roughly a year ago. This photographer (no name listed) has continued to produce wonderful imagery. Thus, we felt a re-feature was in order. There’s quite a variety of work to be found here, but mainly focused on great landscapes.

“I’m a keen hobbyist photographer, with a great interest for Nature and Landscape photography.

Personally like the pictures I’m posting here, which doesn’t mean that you will. So I’ll leave it to you to decide and would be happy about every single comment, either positive or negative.
I’m not the most talented photographer but I plug along and keep trying to improve my vision & technique every time i have my camera in the hand. The fact is, I just love taking pictures no matter what!”

A Photo Blog from Marbella Spain – James Waugh

“I have been taking photos since the age of 9 when I was given a Kodak film camera. Since then I was always curious and intrigued about capturing moments on photo. The only draw back for me was the waiting time between taking the photo and having it developed. As the years have gone by and digital photography has become of viable quality, I have become even more keen, as now….. the waiting is over!

After a days shooting, I can get straight home and begin the process of organizing my photos. Using professional software as my dark room, I am able to gain the end result desired.

My passion is Landscape photography. I think it’s the feeling of capturing that special moment of peace on a beach or the calm of a sunset. I am often down on the beach first thing in the morning wondering what the day is about to bring. Landscapes have the ability to draw the viewer in and create all sorts of scenarios in their mind. Whether it’s a wave crashing against the rocks or a lone tree in a field, I love to be there capturing it all.”
