The growth of mobile camera photography or iphoneography has quickly changed the photographic landscape.
By combining cell phone and a high resolution digital camera, the iPhone allows photographers to freely capture images without the hassle or worry of carrying additional equipment. I am intrigued by the beautiful images created by these devices and all the iphoneography group sites that have sprung up.
Aside from the iPhone being a tremendous camera, the free apps (or inexpensive, in some cases) allow the photographer to create a variety of images in camera. Some of my iPhone favorite apps include ShakeitPhoto – for creating Polaroid style images, TiltShift for iPhone – for that cool Tilt Shift effect, Pano – for creating panoramic photos with up to 16 photos, Phanfare – for easy photo sharing, Night Camera – to sharpen photographs taken on your iPhone at night, and for the serious photographer..PhotoCalc..for calculating the correct exposure, depth of field, flash settings and even has location-based solar calculator for sunrise and sunset.
