“jaredk.ca is my own personal inspiration to continue exploring the world.

I’ve been taking pictures as a hobby for just over a year, and love how it has transformed me. I live for the “hunt”. Going out with the soul purpose of shooting that perfect shot. Photography is teaching me how to explore, how to find beauty in the boring.

I started a photoblog because I was enticed by the idea of sharing my adventures with others. While it is a venue to showcase my photos, its also a great way for me to let people know what kind of person I am.

I’ve realized that jaredk.ca is as much for my readers as it is for me.

Thanks, and enjoy!”

Thinking about getting into iPhoneography or already hooked, then you’ll truly enjoy Life in LoFi. Love the photos posted along with great My Camera Bag section.

Marty Yawnick is a freelance graphic designer. He owns Type A Design, a small but cool graphic design studio based in Dallas/Fort Worth. In addition to capturing random moments with whatever camera is close by (usually his iPhone), his other interests include travel, baseball, scotch, house music, and Spain and the former Spanish colonies.

“Welcome to my gallery and to how I see and capture the world.

“While I love digital cameras, especially the high-end ones that make my graphic design work so much easier, I also really love the primitive look of some of the unique analog cameras, lenses and film stocks. I love Lo-Fi photography. I have a nice Fuji digital SLR of my own and can use my girlfriend’s Canon Rebel XL any time I need to. I prefer to shoot Lo-Fi. My iPhone is my favorite camera. It’s with me practically everywhere I go to capture found moments. For me, it provides enough image quality to capture the image, while introducing enough noise, texture, and digital “light leaks” to add presence to the image. I believe that this texture adds to the image much like film type and grain adds to an analog image.

“I believe that these limitations make you compose the best possible image in camera, adding a set of criteria that are not present when shooting with a high end camera. Basically, Lo-Fi photography is making art out of snapshots.”

Must-see | The Lisa Show

One of the more interesting and visually pleasing photo blogs I’ve reviewed in quite some time. Just love the layout of this site. The photography is amazing, and really enjoy the variety of images posted. If you’re looking to publish your first photography blog or spruce up an existing one, here is a great place to start. Go to school on The Lisa Show. This site is more proof that your equipment is not holding you back. All photos posted were taken with either an iPhone or compact camera. The creativity and imagination behind these works are golden. Enjoy!

“Hi. My name’s Lisa. I’m 27 and a professional photographer. I started with film and shoot mostly digital now, especially for work. All the pictures here were taken and processed with my iPhone 3GS, besides the occasional Instax shots. This is my personal blog, where I post pictures of my daily life and the songs stuck in my head.

I like sleeping in, waking up to the smell of coffee, the beach, the city, complex carbohydrates, headphones, ice cream, making lists, making up stories while people watching, notebooks, old cameras, new cameras, old movies, staying up till 5am, the smell of new books, repartee, road trips, Christmas, scarves, subtitles, words, singing in the shower, tongue-in-cheek humor, laughing till I cry, and bunnies.”

IPhoneography | Seb’s Daily iPhone Photo Blog

IPhoneography has stamped its place on the photography landscape…in a nutshell, mobile photography with connectivity. Although iPhone photography has garnered plenty of attention lately, look for a growing number of camera manufacturers to incorporate Internet connectivity into their newer offerings. Bundled photo editing software packages built into point and shoot cameras with instant sharing capabilities will be the norm, rather than the exception, in the not so distant future.

…which leads me into today’s featured photographer, Seb’s Daily iPhone Photo Blog

iPhoneography Rocks!

The growth of mobile camera photography or iphoneography has quickly changed the photographic landscape. tumblr kw3n425zIv1qa6al8o1 400 300x300 iPhoneography Rocks! picturesBy combining cell phone and a high resolution digital camera, the iPhone allows photographers to freely capture images without the hassle or worry of carrying additional equipment. I am intrigued by the beautiful images created by these devices and all the iphoneography group sites that have sprung up.

Aside from the iPhone being a tremendous camera, the free apps (or inexpensive, in some cases) allow the photographer to create a variety of images in camera. Some of my iPhone favorite apps include ShakeitPhoto – for creating Polaroid style images, TiltShift for iPhone – for that cool Tilt Shift effect, Pano – for creating panoramic photos with up to 16 photos, Phanfare – for easy photo sharing, Night Camera – to sharpen photographs taken on your iPhone at night, and for the serious photographer..PhotoCalc..for calculating the correct exposure, depth of field, flash settings and even has location-based solar calculator for sunrise and sunset.

Listed below are some of the many iPhone Photo Blogs I received yesterday afternoon….Feel free to list your iphone photo blog in the comments below..
