David Salmon’s interests are a subtle blend of photography, web design, and marketing.

He lives in Tunbridge Wells, England and has been putting stuff on the web since 1994. It’s often been for other people, but with this photo blog he’s finally found something to do with the domain name he’s owned since 1999.

It’s a collection of David’s photographs, some of which have been used in competitions and exhibitions at Tonbridge Camera Club.

“If it had not been for my camera, I may have lost my mind many years ago”

Although this work constitutes just a small part of my ideas and projects, it is nonetheless representative of my on going focus and strategy in dealing with the world and its problems using the photograph as my tool.
From the ‘Portrait to Narrative’ I try to express the places and people I know and meet through my eyes as a personnel witness; a participant in life not just an observer.

With my work I am often dealing with the transient and often surreal aspects of the human condition and the concept of the ‘photographic Journey’ be that an emotional or physical one.
So as time passes I am continuously and often desperately trying to fathom the hard facts of life: its loves, despair, anxieties and hopes through these small stories, both intimate and distant, both foreign and here, upon my own doorstep.

Dave now has a small amount of his photos for sale on Getty Images and is also a committee member of his local camera club, giving advice to members on digital imaging through basic Photoshop tutorials.”

    A brief history:

“My photography started back in spring 2003 with a small Nikon E775 digital compact that I bought for taking family snaps. I soon became more interested in other subjects of photography such as landscapes and animals. Within a couple of months I decided”>>>read more about Dave Wares Photography
