John Keatley recently wrote in to update us on some of his new photography projects…“I am an advertising, and celebrity portrait photographer as well as a director.

Celebrities I have photographed include: Annie Leibovitz, Sarah Palin, Anthony Hopkins, and Tim Gunn to name a few.  I would say my photography ranges from serious with a flair for the dramatic to dry unexpected humor.  I strive to create work that draws the viewer in and allows them to explore.  I am meticulous with my lighting and I often approach light as if it is one of the subjects in the image.

My photography can be seen at www.keatleyphoto.com.  I use my blog to talk about my creative process and highlight recent work.  I just posted a new video promo, and I think it really stretches the way photographers think about video and how it can be used as a great tool.  I have not seen any photographers do anything like this, and I hope it will will inspire others to get out there and try something new.  Here is the link:
