“My name is Dennis Lemmers. I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Amsterdam is also mostly my working area when it comes to photography. My photoblog website (www.d-world.nl) is a way of showing the world my work. My aim is to grow and take better pictures and share these with who ever wants to look at them. I am not seeking to be a professional photographer but more of an passionate amateur who sees photography as a way of expressing his creativity. I first started out photographing everything. But soon after that I became more critical. Now I am experimenting with some kind of post processing and studio work. I hope you will look at my site.”

I am 32 years old, married and have a son and a daughter. We live in Bergen Ålesund, Norway, where I work for a mobil company called Hello.

Photography is my new and passionate hobby. It all started a couple of years back (June 2003) when I bought my first camera, a Canon Powershot G3. Back then it was just about taking pictures, and capturing the moment. Taking pictures was fun enough, but there was something missing.

I then (November 2005) bought a Canon EOS 350D DIGITAL REBEL XT, and things changed. I started looking around the Internet to find blogs or anything that could help me learn to be a better photographer. I believe the first blog that caught my eye was Sam Javanrouh’s Daily Dose of Imagery. I then discovered that I had to start taking pictures differently. First step was learning new techniques by watching all the photoblogs that I could find. David J. Nightingale’s Chromasia was an important finding. I have learned a lot from his pictures and watch it daily. I also bought my first book about photography and some magazines…

I am barely an amateur, and strive to get better…thukai

I am 27 years old, living in the great city of Bergen in Norway with my soon to be 5 year old son, where I work for the second largest ISP in Norway.

I started photographing whatever I came across when I got my first camera, a compact Sony Cybershot something, back in 2000.
Later I advanced into the world of digital SLR cameras when I got a Canon EOS 350D / Rebel XT sometime in 2005.
After using that frequently for a couple of years, I changed it with a Canon EOS 5D, which is my current camera.

I consider myself an amateur, and run this site just for fun…komplisert
