“My blog is a site covering the photos I take, and the techniques I use to take them. I share all sorts of tips on camera usage techniques, camera settings, post processing steps, even the settings I’ve used in post processing. I am trying to build up a good resource of photography technical methods, and show the images that result from them!”

500+ Resources for Web Designers, Photobloggers
Admittedly, spending a great deal of time online is a necessity in today’s world, whether you’re a blogger, photographer, web designer, journalistic, etc. One of my main goals is to learn to work more efficiently. Great resources is the key! While we are very familiar with desktop applications, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, MS Office Suite and a host of others, many people overlook the thousands of web applications which are available for free. In addition, there are numerous websites which provide resources to make life easier.
Where do I find all these cool sites? Besides my general searching/surfing, StumbleUpon is a great resource to find information on just about any topic you can imagine, plus much more. The key to using StumbleUpon is to first register (of course), and then set up your topic preferences. Listed below are the topics I’m currently searching for…a nice geekie/artsy mix.

Here are just a few of my favorite posts listing a honeypot of cool sites and web applications you might be interested in!

William Darhy Urban Photography Blog
Strong colors, unique composition, and visually striking best describe the photography works of photographer William Darhy. His photoblog is relatively new, but his portfolio shows great range..macro photography, urban photography, landscapes and portraiture. Here is a brief excerpt from his bio…
“Amateur Photographer, I have started photography in 2007 after I bought my first DSLR. Since then, photography has been more than a single leisure.
I am looking to cature the moment, so my style could be qualified as street/candid, whereas I sometimes shoot macros and landscapes. I have to confess I am most of the time not patient enough to create heavy setups or to enter into deep post processing of the picture. I mostly use adobe lightroom for tone balances.”

Olle Carlsson Photography| Contrasting Styles
Photographer Olle Carlsson demonstrates the power of light with his striking portfolio. His images successfully showcase the results of using a variety of low and high contrast lighting techniques. Altering photograph contrast often produces dramatic results and can be accomplished by controlling lighting sources during the portrait session or in post-production using programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
Top 5 Favorite Photoshop Tips
Top Adobe Photoshop tips is a very personal thing….everyone has their own based on personal preferences and individual style…sorta like playlists….I have shared some of my favorite Photoshop tips tutorials, which I use quite often. When I first started to use Photoshop, it was strictly for image manipulation only…nothing real complex, using just a few layers, color/level adjustments, maybe adding some text, but that was it. Today, my needs are more centered around text and background creation, although I did throw in a great film grain technique. Hope you enjoy this short list and please share some of your favorites….
New Logo Design
It’s been on my to-do list for quite some time, but haven’t had the motivation or time to work on it. No, I’m not talking about promoting photo blogs, I’ve always got time for that. I’m speaking about a new logo design…Since I just loaded Adobe Photoshop CS3 last evening, I’ve finally got the motivational kick I needed to improve upon the existing photo blog logo..The new logo design is now up..but not sure if I like it or not.
If you see a few changes on this site, don’t be alarmed…it’s just me tinkering again. Comments or suggestions are always appreciated!
