Olle Carlsson Photography| Contrasting Styles
Photographer Olle Carlsson demonstrates the power of light with his striking portfolio. His images successfully showcase the results of using a variety of low and high contrast lighting techniques. Altering photograph contrast often produces dramatic results and can be accomplished by controlling lighting sources during the portrait session or in post-production using programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
Incredible Tilt Shift Photography
I love tilt shift photography! Ever since I was introduced to it, I am amazed at the growing number of photographers using this technique.
Per Wikipedia, Tilt-shift photography refers to the use of camera movements on small- and medium format cameras. In many cases, it refers to tilting the lens relative to the image plane and using a large aperture to achieve a very shallow depth of field. The technique relies on the Scheimpflug principle and usually requires the use of special lenses.
Here are a few great photo blogs featuring great examples of tilt shift photography…some incorporate still photographs and there is also an example of this technique using time-lapse photography in creating a video…..Check out some of the tutorials and try it with some photographs!

Top 5 Favorite Photoshop Tips
Top Adobe Photoshop tips is a very personal thing….everyone has their own based on personal preferences and individual style…sorta like playlists….I have shared some of my favorite Photoshop tips tutorials, which I use quite often. When I first started to use Photoshop, it was strictly for image manipulation only…nothing real complex, using just a few layers, color/level adjustments, maybe adding some text, but that was it. Today, my needs are more centered around text and background creation, although I did throw in a great film grain technique. Hope you enjoy this short list and please share some of your favorites….
New Logo Design
It’s been on my to-do list for quite some time, but haven’t had the motivation or time to work on it. No, I’m not talking about promoting photo blogs, I’ve always got time for that. I’m speaking about a new logo design…Since I just loaded Adobe Photoshop CS3 last evening, I’ve finally got the motivational kick I needed to improve upon the existing photo blog logo..The new logo design is now up..but not sure if I like it or not.
If you see a few changes on this site, don’t be alarmed…it’s just me tinkering again. Comments or suggestions are always appreciated!
