Specializing in Military Photography | Nick Strocchia

“Hi, my name is Nick Strocchia and I am a self-taught, full-time photographer out of Charlottesville, VA who specializes in military photography. A majority of my clients are based out of Washington D.C., but I travel a good bit around the metro area and throughout the U.S. for various assignments.”

“I am also a U.S. Air Force Reservist out of Andrews, AFB 2 days a month, and I spend the rest of my time servicing and building up my fledgling photography business.

“I have been shooting professionally for just over 2 years. I pride myself on having zero formal experience and utilizing as little Photoshop as possible, which I think enables me to look at just about any situation with an unbridled creative vision.”

“My undeniable passion is for creating military imagery, specifically of our service members. The military can seem like a far-off world to the average civilian, and I strive to capture those human elements that make us service members no different from the rest of the population we serve.”

  3. I say find your niche and run with it. The more you can find the type of photography that resonates with you the more fun and the better you will be in your field; even if your field happens to be the battle field.
