As the first photos of Mars from the Phoenix Mars Lander 1 were being released to the general public, my first thoughts were ..” I have been there!”..As a contract photographer for NASA, I was assigned to Woomera, Australia for a couple of months to document rocket launches; many moons ago. However, the desolate nature of the Outback is hard to forget…Thanks to George Sharpe for this terrific image of a telephone booth on Mars…I mean in Woomera.
