It is getting harder for me to narrow down my daily selections. I keep a running list on paper, add any emailed links, and try not to add too many each day. Today I have (5) new sites to add to the list, which I am sure you will enjoy.
- New York Photography - DaveBeckerman Photography. “I have worked as a screenplay writer, taxi-cab driver, bus-boy, can-carrier in a movie lab, custom color lab printer, programmer, and lighting director on feature films (the entire list of jobs is too depressing to list)….I don’t really believe that you need to go to school to learn photography. It is more important to have something interesting to say about life, or if not interesting funny. When people ask me where to study photography, I tell them to study literature or music instead. And I’m serious about that.”
- Drive back in time - Dmitry Popov Photography. ” Every photo shoot is preceded by thorough research of the era. When and under what conditions a particular vehicle model was produced sets the theme. The majority of my photographs are the result of a classically arranged photo shoot. The actors, costumes, hair, makeup, setting, and props are all fashioned to the standards of the era. Although each of the photographic series on each site is presented only partially, the collection taken in its entirety tells a story.”
- Someday Somewhere -Jean marc Veliscek Photography. “I’m not a trade photographer, still an “amateur” but wish to make this “passion and flow activity” as a free-lance activity sometimes.”
- Life goes on in Tehran 7 - “Mission Statement: To show that regardless of what any president would have you imagine, despite what any media outlet would have you believe, life goes on in Tehran and elsewhere in Iran.”
- John Rosenthal - John Rosenthal Photography. “Mr. Rosenthal’s commentary on photography and related matters can be heard on WUNC-radio, an affiliate of National Public Radio, and since March 1990 he has been a commentator on NPR’s All Things Considered. In 1998 a collection of Mr. Rosenthal’s photographs, Regarding Manhattan, was published by Safe Harbor Books.”
