
“Orville Robertson has been a street photographer for over twenty-five years. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions in the United States and is represented in many major museum, private, and corporate collections. He is the publisher and editor of Fotophile, the photography journal he founded in 1993. He is the co-curator of Committed to the Image: Contemporary Black Photographers at the Brooklyn Museum in 2001, highlighting one hundred living black photographers. In 2004 his group show Man-ifestations: Photographs of Men, co-curated with Kay Kenny, was exhibited at The Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida. He was also awarded a 2002 Fellowship in Photography by the New York Foundation for the Arts.”

for Orville, i remember reading about you for the first time in Joel Tlumak’s news letter called R-Finder. That goes back quite a way. I loved your stuff then and sort of lost track of you and Joel for about 15 years or longer. I’m so glad to see your blog and all the great things you are involved in. I’m going to catch up on all the things you’ve been doing through your blog so thanks. PS -Is Joel still around ??? I have not heard anything from him for the longest time.
