After posting for a couple weeks now, I noticed that the types of photoblogs I have recently showcased lacked diversity. In an attempt to keep things from getting too stale around here, I decided to occasionally spend a day devoted to one specific field within photography. So for today, I decided to direct my attention to photojournalism photoblogs. The (6) new additions to the photoblog list are as follows:
- The Desktop Cadence - Josh D. Weiss - “My name is Josh D. Weiss and I am a photojournalist. I attend the University of Georgia 2 where I am majoring in Newspapers and Sociology. I became interested in photography at an early age but didn’t pick up my first SLR until my sophomore year of high school. Since then I have engrossed myself in taking photos and when the time came upgraded from film to digital.”
- Mark Hancock Photoblog 1 - “Mark M. Hancock has been a working professional photojournalist since 1995. He is a staff photojournalist for The Beaumont Enterprise (a Hearst metro daily newspaper) and previously a staff photojournalist for The Dallas Morning News (1996 - 2004).”
- Thomas Boyd Untitled Bloggage - “I’m a staff photojournalist at The Oregonian, in Portland, Ore. I also do a good bit of editorial, commercial and wedding freelance assignments.”
- Dan Chung Photojournalism 0 - is an award-winning Guardian photographer.
- Jon Goering, Photojournalist -”I am a photojournalist for the University Daily Kansan at the University of Kansas. This photoblog is intended as a supplement to what appears in the print and online editions of the newspaper.”
- Julia Cumes 0 -”I was born and grew up in South Africa and moved to the United States as a 16-year-old. I first fell in love with photography as a teenager when I began shooting black and white film and printing my own work. Since then I’ve completed an M.F.A. in writing at Cornell, a Masters in Photojournalism at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and have been working as a freelance photographer on Cape Cod.”
