In the new digital age, photographers and design artists alike, fight a major battle; how to manage large files. Since I am a photographer and web publisher, I have a need for access to my large files on a regular basis and I know I am not alone. Online storage is a must!
When producing written pieces I prefer to work from my laptop. I love the freedom of mobile creation. However, I maintain most of graphics and photographs on my desktop, so I am constantly transferring files. Thumb drives are a mainstay in my work environment, but I fear putting too much data on such a fragile device.
A couple of months ago, a friend introduced my to online file storage and I haven’t burned a CD or used a thumb drive since. MozyHome has been the best solution for my needs, however, you be the judge. I liked the fact that MozyHome offers a free version to give you chance to try it out (up to 2GB of data). I quickly decided that this was the best solution for my mobile lifestyle.
Give it a try and let me know what you think. If you have a better solution, I would love to hear it as well! Click here to try Mozy for FREE!

Great post. Will have to check out online file storage for photography purposes. You totally hit it on the head when you said you fear putting too much data on a thumb drive. You never know when they can crash. If you know of any other online file storage sites please share!
Great post, nice info.
Great post! You gave me such idea. This really is of great help for those who likes photography a lot (like me). Keeping your photographs safe is very much important especially for us, whose every photograph is a picture of fulfillment.
There’s got to be a cheaper way of doing it. Get your own webspace and learn how to use http://FTP... much cheaper and more flexible…
