As we put the finishing touches on another wonderful year (except for the economy), I am excited to talk about FREE STUFF and ringing in the New Year with our latest contest for January 2009.
Promotion is the key to any business endeavor you choose. Whether you already have a thriving photography business or just making the transition from a passionate photo blogger into the world as a working professional, now is the time to lay the plans for acquiring much needed exposure for your skills and abilities.
Although the Internet is a tremendous way to reach potential clients, it is also true that hard copy paper print material is still the number one in business promotions. One main reason paper product promotions are highly effective is due to their tangible nature. If you’re like me, my memory is only as good as my bookmark list. When I walk away from the PC, much of what I read quickly fades into the deep recesses of my memory. However, print ads, such as postcards, calendars, and business cards, stay with potential customers long after they’ve logged off the computer at work or home.
Another reason paper product promotion work is the credibility factor. Most people are savvy enough to understand that anyone can put together a flashy web ad. The use of attractive postcards or business cards to promote your business builds trust. They also have a sticky quality to them. Attractive and professionally produced print materials are often tacked to bulletin boards, placed under desktop glass, or stored away for later reference.
With this in mind, I am happy to join up with UPrinting.com, a trusted leader in online printing with over 25 years experience in the printing industry, to giveaway several great prizes this month. Whether you have a business to promote or just want to show-off your skills to friends and family, you’ll love the free stuff we’re giving away.

I would let my husband have all this if I won.He is a musician and he knows so many people he has to stay in touch with, this would be good for his needs.
As a graphic designer, I would love to see my designs to be printed (especially in canvas). And surely it will be put in my office/room for display.
Happy 2009 and good job for the photography blog!
Hye!
I’d use the free postcards as an incentive to our readers as well as an advertising tool. Im also an architecture student and would love to have a canvass print of one of my projects. Great work on the blog and have a Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Fabulous giveaway!
I would use this to promote my new line of art dolls for the etsy shop I will be stocking in the new year. Postcards are a great tool to show off the product in an artistic way, and the large canvas would be fabulous at a craft show to attract attention.
I’d do a project with my little girls and send to everyone!
I would give them to my friend who is about to start proceedings to adopt the child that has been in their care for the past year. She would treasure the baby’s face on a canvas, or could use the postcards as a type of adoption announcement!

I’m not sure what I would do but I love the Canvas to put one of my site’s logo on it. Matter of fact, I would probably do the same thing with the postcards to brand my site and send it out to people.
Anyways, I blogged about your contest at http://www.bloggingcontests.com/2009/win-postcards-and-canvas-print-at-ilovephotoblogscom/ as well!
Good luck everyone!

We’re off to a great start!…please help us spread the word!
These items would be a great jump start to my 2009 goal of increased focus on marketing myself.
Thank you for keeping such an excellent collection of blogs here, I am always happy to see a new post pop up in my RSS Feeder.

I’m an artist and would use the postcards and canvas for my art.
i would use them as invitations and the canvas would be cool as a new apartment decoration
I would definitely give it to my friend who lives in Florida as a gift. She has given me stuffs so I’ll just return the favor. I bet she will surely love it! ^^
Love all the different uses I am seeing for postcards and the canvas print! I also enjoy visiting all the interesting site links..
Well, I’m really a photo freak, I like to design absolutely random things, collect and take pictures of anything from everything.
So, I’m renovating my room and designing it for the near photo shoots I will be making and I’m planning to hang different pictures I like from different shots around the world such as my flickr faves, some of my self-portraits etc. but that would cost a lot to fill up one wall but when I heard that you were giving a lot of postcards… I’ve been really excited about joining. If I’m gonna win these ultimate prizes, I would wake up everyday with a smile in my face because I can see the world through pictures/postcards hanging on my room.
P.S I’m a frustrated photographer… so sorry if this comment has been a novel hahahaha.
like your enthusiasm!!…thanks for stopping by and entering our contest
I’m a freelance writer/photographer and I would use this prize to promote some of my favorite pieces, allowing people to see my style in a great new way. Thanks for the opportunity!
I’m a freelance photographer in Phildelphia, PA. I am hoping to have my first gallery showing this year where I will use the postcards to promote the event and raffle off the canvas print during the show. Winning this would be very helpful in my preparation for my first, public showing of my best work.
Best of luck with your first gallery showing…easy on the champagne and cheese. Keep in touch and let me know when and where the show is …always like to help out with promotions when I can.
The postcards could be used to promote the talents of my husband and myself to generate business for the photography business we are trying to start. The canvas print would be a fabulous addition to our gallery as examples of our work to clients.
I have always wanted a photobook or something of the sorts that promotes my photography…but postcards would be great to send my own works as prints to friends. The canvas would be great to have displayed at home.
A photobook sounds fun..best of luck with your project and thanks for participating in our contest!
This would be great to promote the new spa I just opened this year!
Good luck with your new venture….and thanks for stopping by to enter our contest!
Of course, what a great site and informative posts, I will add backlink – bookmark this site? Regards, Reader.
much appreciated!
hey id like to talk with you about your blog. please email me – thanks.
I really enjoy reading Happy New Year Photo Blog Contest Giveaway | ILovePhotoBlogs . It’s very interesting. Hope you will post something like this again.
Wow, this would be great!
I would use the post cards to promote my photography business. Hopefully grow my client base. The canvas print would be a agreat tool to showcase my work to clients and encourage them to order more items of this nature. They tend to order larger prints when they “see” larger and speciality prints displayed.
