Free Adobe Photoshop now available

Great news for photographers and creative designers. Free Adobe Photoshop Express. The maker of the popular photo-editing software Photoshop on Thursday launched a basic version available for free online. Since I work off several different computers, the web based Photoshop will be ideal for my needs.

San Jose, Calif.-based Adobe Systems Inc. says it hopes to boost its name recognition among a new generation of consumers who edit, store and share photos online. In addition, Adobe also will allow users to store up to 2Gb of images to create and share online galleries.

While Photoshop is designed for trained professionals, Adobe says Photoshop Express, which it launched in a “beta” test version, is easier to learn.

  1. I love the idea but can’t help thinking that it is too basic, but its a beta as stated so my hopes are still up :)

  2. Looks like something to check out before dissing. In fact, no matter how elementary or basic, it might be just the thing to help someone less experienced get a handle on Photoshop’s programs.

  3. Damn…thanks a lot. I was looking for something like that but didn’t wanted to pay that much. Thanks again

  4. I also never heard about this version, but I doubt that it has the same functionality and flexibility, as usual photoshop
