Timeless beauty are the words that first come to in mind describing the newest member of our photoblog community, photography by JOHN WASHINGTON.
The images by John Washington are fascinating, and require amble amounts of time to view and thoroughly enjoy. Due to his fine arts and graphic design training, Washington approaches the subject matter from a unique tact. His sense of texture and lighting add impact to his complex compositions.
One of the main elements of his image making that I thoroughly enjoy is the post processing effects displayed in his prints. To see his work is to love it.
John Washington background - “I’m a photographer and graphic designer based in Chorley, Lancashire, UK. My main interest lies in teaching and research within digital imaging: photography and graphics - I currently lecture part time at The University of Bolton.”
“This web site provides me with an outlet to publish and exhibit my photography and other creative work. The site consists of a frequently updated photoblog, and a section used to display projects or assignments that have been completed or are in progress. Project galleries will contain photos that may not be present on the photoblog. I have formed the opinion that photoblogs are perhaps not the best method for presenting project based work, and so over time work will be updated when appropriate to do so.”
