Grow your audience, make your blog mobile web accessible. Although I’m admittedly a “late adopter” of new technology, I do understand the importance of mobile devices and the need to make information readily available for this growing segment of the marketplace.
It’s hard to believe in such a short period of time that today laptop users are considered “old school” techies. But I accept my place in society and have recently made changes to my photography blog to accommodate the wave of a new generation.
Today I signed up with MoFuse and enabled my content to be mobile web accessible. Not quite sure what to expect in terms of increased traffic and viewership, but I’m willing to give anything a try.
What is MoFuse?
“MoFuse gives content publishers, like bloggers, the ability to publish their content to the mobile web. You don’t have to be a content publisher to use MoFuse though, anyone can create a mobile website in just a few minutes using the intuitive MoFuse platform. We are currently the fastest growing mobile site publishing network and one of the top mobile publishing networks in terms of traffic.”
How do I publish my content to the mobile web using MoFuse? The setup process was extremely painless! After signing up for a free account, there were really only (3) simple steps:
- Create name for your feed ( I used ILovePhotoblogs) and insert your feed URL
- For WordPress users, they supply a small bit of php code that you need to copy and paste at the very top of your header file and save.
- If you want to monetize your content, you have 2 choices – Google or admob. Simply insert your publisher id# and save. It’s really that easy
From the dashboard, you have the ability to customize the appearance of your feed on a mobile device and make changes to your feed. I did upload a small banner image, but at this time that is the extent of the options I truly understand.
Overall, making your content mobile web accessible is free, easy to do, and a win-win business decision. So why not give it a try?
