Chicago Photographer Jim Newberry is a freelance photographer based in Chicago. One look at his portfolio and you’ll quickly see Newberry’s mastery of composition and lighting are the elements which clearly set him apart from the pack. His photographic style is strikingly reminiscent of legendary photographers of Annie Leibovitz and Arnold Newman. His client list includes many top talents within the recording industry and numerous commercial accounts.
Additionally, Newberry runs a blog, PictureDuJour, a collection of personal reflections and photographic happenings in the Chicago area. His studio is about 10 minutes north of the Loop (here’s a map).

This photo was taken for inside album art–the album is “Fed” by the band Plush. There’s a booklet inside with a series of photographs that form a narrative.
