Making The Shoot – International Photography Competition – Deadline Dec 30th, 2011

Making the Shoot (MTS) is an international photography competition hosted by The Lab Magazine and Photoculture, created to offer life changing opportunities for photographers worldwide, find and promote emerging talent, and cultivate a new standard in juried competitions.
“Taking the step from being a photographer to a “working” photographer can be a big leap, and as artists ourselves, we’ve been there. What is ultimately needed to move a career forward – access to a great subject, working with experienced hair/make-up/wardrobe, top tier production tools and the ability to have your work published and seen in a great platform – can seem out of reach for many. We can amend that.
Like most contests, we’ll be offering all kinds of great prizes courtesy of our sponsors, but it’s the opportunity given to one selected photographer that we’re most proud of. In January 2012 the winning photographer will be flown to Los Angeles, California for a fully-financed celebrity photo shoot and the results of which will be published in The Lab Magazine No.5, on stands worldwide in March 2012.”
One GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive the following:
-
- A fully-financed celebrity photo shoot to take place in Los Angeles, California in January 2012 and to be published in Issue No. 5 of The Lab Magazine. We’ll provide a top tier studio space, all the equipment you need, a great team of assistants, and the best celebrity hair, makeup and wardrobe stylists.
- Round-trip airfare from your city to Los Angeles, California and 3 nights luxury hotel accommodations.
- A behind-the-scenes video of your photo shoot that will be directed and edited by Lab.TV professionals - This will be posted on all Lab Magazine & Photoculture social media outlets and highly marketed online (websites, blogs, Twitter, Facebook). This video will also screen at The Lab Magazine’s Issue No.5 Release party in Los Angeles, in March 2012.
- An Apple iPad 2.
- A copy of the Blinkbid estimating and invoicing software , built specifically for photographers, is an easy to use yet powerful application to aide creative professionals with the business side of their lives.
- 10 copies of The Lab Magazine Issue No.5 , in which your shoot will appear, so you can share with family, friends and clients.
- Stay tuned for more prizes from our sponsors…

Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year 2012
