Being a Maryland native, I can’t get enough of Baltimore area photography. John Waire is a Baltimore based photographer with an incredible eye for capturing the human spirit and the tremendous local pride.

“I was born in Baltimore in 1972 and still call Charm City home. My wife Sara, daughter Madelyn, son Liam and I currently live in Towson, MD with our sharpei Henry and two cats, Penga & KC.

Growing up, I had aspirations of becoming a cartoonist or possibly a veterinarian. I attended Mitchell Studios of Fine Arts from the ages of 10 thru 15, eventually venturing on to pursue a bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland College Park.”

“It’s funny where life’s career path can take you. For me, it’s been very far from my childhood dreams. Since 1994, my work experiences have covered the spectrum….from manufacturing to IT to project management & business analysis — yet none have brought me the true joy and simplicity that photography provides.
