“In late 2008 Miserere found himself thinking way too much and for too long about cameras, lenses, tripods, filters, memory cards, Photoshop, and all the other paraphernalia that surrounded his digital photography. He needed focus, patience and wisdom—and he needed them now.

As a way to store what he knew, and not forget what he was about to learn, he decided to start a website on Photography. Yeah, with a capital ‘P’. He named it Enticing the Light, because that was his definition of Photography, stripped down to its essential elements—the bare truth.

Taking this as a starting point, he began writing articles about making photographs, about the thoughts and motivations involved in creating Art, going beyond the snapshot. Soon he was joined by long-time Canadian wedding photographer, Peter Zack, who added his many years of wisdom to Miserere’s efforts.

The authors of Enticing the Light hope you enjoy the site and its contents, but moreover, they hope you go away knowing more than you did when you arrived.”

“Welcome to my photography blog. In 2009 I did a Project 365 where I took and posted a new photo every day for the entire year. The process was wonderful but at the same time it was demanding and consuming. So I’m going to take a break from trying to take a new picture each and every day. I will continue to post regularly using some of my older photographs and some new ones.”
